My Memorial to my daughter Jessica M Ouellette
Jessica   M   Ouellette   2/18/82-   6/2/00

To know my daughter Jessica was a treat. She was warm person who reached many people. She was also funny, bright and had a quick wit. She love shock value, and loved to say things to get a response out of people. She had long fought a battle with Cystic Fibrosis. On April 7th, 1999 she had a double lung transplant at Mass General Hospital in Boston. The living donor's were her mom and her uncle, who each gave a lobe. For awhile she did well, then the holiday's came, and unfortunately she had relapses with pneumonia which seemed never to clear.

Unfortunately 3 weeks before graduating from high school she passed away. Sadly, the day after her death came her acceptance letter to college. An elegant funeral was planned befitting a princess. She was a member of the color guard with the school band. The band walked in front of the funeral procession carrying a single red rose to the beat of a drum. The color guard stood in memory at the door to the church. Later after the funeral mass, the band played a touching song at the cemetery "The River is Wide", and each of the 100 members placed their rose on her casket. Several personal readings were done by two of her uncles, an aunt and a teacher. And at the end, the haunting sounds of a bag piper played Amazing Grace.

The high school presented us her diploma, and so after the cemetery was done, we held an open house for family and friends at a local firehouse and had Jessica's graduation party. The informality of the surroundings made it comfortable for her friends to gather as a group and remember their friend that they had so come to love.

My wife and I have decided to establish a scholarship fund in our daughter's name to continue her memory for her fellow school mates. We are deeply grateful for the wonderful personal care she received at Mass General Hospital in Boston Mass, they maintained her dignity right to the end.

WHAT I LOOK FOR IN OTHER PEOPLE My idea of a great friend is someone who is sweet, understanding, RESPECTS U, and is there all the time when u need them. There is more but i won't go there. :) Thank u to all my friends out there, I owe u my life, u know who u r!

THINGS I LIKE I like to travel, hang out with my friends, drive around, talk on the phone, use computers, PARTY! I Love Master P, ICP, Korn, Limp Bisquit, And all other music shit. Favorite hang out: St Johnsville Youth Center. That is where all the trouble starts with my ex's and there new women. hehe :)Also Cumberland Farms Parking Lot, and The Bar & Pool Hall

THINGS I DON'T LIKE I really hate users & abusers, snobs & jerks, PLAYERS & HATERS, and followers and wanna-be's. Ex boyfriend's and their new girlfriends, and pushy and self-centered people.

To the living, I am gone

To the sorrowful, I will never return

To the angry, I was cheated

But to the happy,

I am at peace

And to the faithful, I have never left

I cannot speak, but I can listen

I cannot be seen, but I can be heard

So as you stand upon a shore gazing at a beautiful sea,

As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity,

Remember me.

Remember me in your heart,

Your thoughts and your memories,

Of the times we loved

The times we cared

The times we fought

The times we laughed.

For if you always think of me

I will never have gone.

Remember Me This Way from: Jordan Hill

Every now and then

We find a special friend

who never lets us down...

Who understands it all

reaches out each time we fall

you're the best friend i have found...

I know you can't stay

a part of you will never ever go away

your heart will stay.....

I'll make a wish for you,

and hope it will come true,

if life will just be kind,

to such a gentle mind,

if you lose your way,

think back on yesterday

remember me this way,

remember me this way.

I don't need eyes to see

the love you bring to me,

no matter where I go

and I know that you'll be there

forever-more a part of me and everywhere

I'll always care.....

I'll make a wish for you

and hope it will come true,

if life will just be kind,

to such a gentle mind,

and if you lose your way

think back on yesterday

remember me this way,

remember me this way.

And I'll be right behind your shoulder, watching you

I'll be standing by your side, all you do

and I won't ever leave

as long as you believe,

you just believe....

I'll make a wish for you

and hope it will come true

if life will just be kind

to such a gentle mind

and if you lose your way

think back on yesterday

remember me this way

remember me this way.

I'll Lend You A Child by Edgar Guest

"I'll lend you for a little time a child of mine," He said.

For you to love - while he lives

And mourn for when he's dead.

It may be six or seven years

Or twenty-two or three,

But will you, till I call him back,

Take care or him for Me?

He'll bring his smiles to gladden you,

And should this stay be brief

You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief.

I cannot promise he will stay,

Since all from earth return,

But there are lessons taught down there

I want this child to learn.

I've looked this world over

In search for teachers true,

And from the throngs that crowd

Life's lanes, I have selected you.

Now will you give him all your love,

Nor count the labor vain,

Nor hate Me when I come to call to

Take him back again?"

I fancied that I heard then say,

"Dear Lord, Thy will be done,

For all the joy Thy child shall bring,

The risk of grief we'll run.

We'll shelter him with tenderness,

We'll love him while we may,

And for the happiness we've known

Forever grateful stay.

But should the angels call for him

Much sooner than we've planned,

We'll brave the bitter grief that come

And try to understand."
